Q.ANT is a Stuttgart-based deep-tech company developing photonic processors that compute natively with light as a scalable alternative to transistor-based chips. Its Native Processing Server (NPS) is positioned as the first commercial photonic processor, targeting AI and HPC data center workloads with up to 30x higher energy efficiency and 50x faster computation than conventional CMOS technology. Q.ANT operates its own photonic chip pilot line, built on thin-film lithium niobate material, in collaboration with the Institute for Microelectronics Stuttgart (IMS CHIPS). The company was founded by CEO Michael Foertsch in 2018.
